So, I kind of want to be a rock star… (only half kidding)

Call-out for interested musicians. I can sing, and I can pen lyrics and I have a good ear for melody (former piano player). I also have a lot of poetry that can be adapted for music. I am interested in partnering up with someone who can write tunes for me to add vocals and words to. Band name.. “Hands In the Garden”

Please help support and encourage my impending mid-life crisis dream.

I am looking to do something blending influences of the Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Wild Beasts, The National, Pink Floyd, Mogwai, Pinback, Death Cab for Cutie. Nick Cave, Portishead, PJ Harvey, Glass Animals, Interpol, Timber Tambre (with some 90’s grunge murk) I am really psyched by this idea so if you know of anyone who this might interest, please have them send me an e-mail at

If you know anyone who might be interested or wish to share this post on your blog for me, please be my guest.

Thank you

  1. I wish you all the success in the world! The music business is a very tough one, either at the bottom or top and not much in the middle. I’m more a country music fan! Sorry! Keep writing! I would suggest you read Kris Kristofferson’s bio for some inspiration!!

    • Thanks so much. I think the music industry has changed a lot in the last decade but I am not sure. I was joking about the rock star part. 😉 I just want to be able to share music with the world to be honest.. nice hearing from you. Thanks for the message. All the best 🙂
